Hello! Thank you so much for visiting my page. I am SO excited for a new school year to begin and I cannot wait to teach a room full of eager first graders!!

 

This is my fifth year teaching at KLA. I can't believe how fast the time has gone! I also taught a second and third grade combination class for three years in Connecticut before I moved to San Diego! I went to college in Connecticut where I have my Masters degree in Education.

 

During this school year, the first graders in room 3 will be learning A LOT! We will explore the new math curriculum, Eureka Squared, where we will learn different addition and subtraction strategies, measurement, shapes, and MORE!! There will be a bunch of new materials as well which will be so fun to explore! We will learn reading strategies to be the best readers we can be! We will also learn different types of writing like opinion, informational, and narrative! I can't wait to learn and grow with you.

 

Outside of school, I love to spend time with my friends and family, go to the beach, do outdoor activities like hiking, and I love to curl up with a good book!

 

This year is going to be so much fun and I can't wait for all the learning to take place. Let's have a wonderful year!
