About Mr. Barragan
Hi! Let me introduce myself.
I have been teaching at KLA for many years. This 2022-23 academic year will be my 6th year. Keiller is an amazing place to teach. Teachers and staff care about our students and each other. I am happy to take on the challenge of leading your student on their academic journey.
My own journey has roots nearby. I grew up in Chula Vista and attended local schools, namely Chula Vista Middle and Chula Vista High. I went to college locally and graduated with my bachelor's degree from the University of San Diego. Go Toreros!
Travel and diplomacy have formed an important part of my life. I have lived and worked in Mexico, Spain and Germany. Before KLA I served in the Peace Corps in Central Africa where I lived in Cameroon for two years teaching Computer Science and focusing on the overall health and economic prosperity of my community. Aside from Spanish, I speak French, German, small Pidgin English and a few words in Meta, an african dialect.
In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors. I can be found hiking, camping and riding my motorcycle.
Cheers!
