The GEAR UP program has partnered with the organization Pathways 2 College to get African American families to be involved in their child's education and be empowered to get thier child to college. The mission for Pathways 2 College is to ensure that African American students and parents can achieve success in their pathway to college. If your student is a GEAR UP student, the $25 fee will be waived if the parent and student commit to attending at least 5 of the 9 monthly Saturday Workshops.
