Hello KLA Family,

My name is Samantha Beasley, and I am thrilled to be your child's Physical Education teacher this year! I have the privilege of working with both our primary and secondary students, and I could not be more excited to get started.

I am a proud San Diego native — born, raised, and passionate about teaching kids from my own neighborhood. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from San Diego State University, where I also had the honor of playing collegiate softball as an Aztec from 2007–2012. After graduating, I took my love of the game overseas, playing Professional Softball in Italy, and shortly after earned my Master's Degree in Education. I am currently in a program to earn my Doctorate Degree in Leadership in Education. San Diego will always be home, and I am grateful every day to serve this community.

On a personal note, I am also a proud parent of five children who attend KLA — so this school is near and dear to my heart in every way. Our family is active, passionate about health and wellness, and committed to striving to be a little better every single day.

That same spirit carries directly into my classroom. My focus for every student is to help them:

• Learn and establish personal fitness goals that embrace moderate to vigorous physical activity
• Develop health and wellness habits that guide them toward living a healthier, more fulfilling life

Health and wellness is a large component of life — which is why we make it a priority here at KLA.

To be successful in my class, I ask for just two things:

• Active listening — be present, eye contact, engaged, and ready to learn
• 100% effort — give everything you have, every single day

Students who bring those two commitments will find success and will be well on their way to earning an A and an E for Excellent.

Come ready to listen, work hard, and grow — and you will be successful in my class.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out through ParentSquare or by email at [email protected]. I look forward to an amazing year with your family!

With excitement and gratitude,
Samantha Beasley
