Hello students, parents, and guardians!
My name is Gibian Jacobo and I am delighted to be KLA’s newest Education Specialist for KLA Secondary. It is my honor to be working alongside the amazing Special Education and General Education teams here at KLA and it is my utmost privilege to be supporting KLA’s secondary students! I will be co-teaching two, 7th grade, Math classes alongside the well traveled and worldly experienced, Mr. Armstrong; while also co-teaching an additional 8th grade Math class with the head of KLA’s Math department, Ms. Miranda. I am also thrilled to be co-teaching a 6th - 8th grade REACH class with the one-and-only and incredibly passionate, Ms. Kang. In order to ensure your, or your student's, success, Ms. Kang and I have designed and implemented a REACH class which will focus on individualized academic interventions, building exemplary school habits, and opportunities to give back to the community. I look forward to building a strong sense of family within the classrooms I am in, and I am very excited to build a positive, supportive, and honest relationship with each of my students as well.
Although this is my first time working on the Secondary side of campus, I am certainly no stranger to the KLA family! I have been fortunate enough to wear many hats on the Primary side of KLA; from student teaching 3rd grade, enriching classes as an Instructional Assistant, to even supporting students individually as a One-on-One aide.
A little about me, I received an English degree from San Diego State University. My passion for bettering my craft led me to the University of San Diego where I recently earned my Masters degree in Special Education and two different teaching credentials, one for Multiple Subject and another in Special Education. I invite you to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have. I can be reached through email, [email protected] .
Thank you so much!
