Annual Notice of Mental Health Resources
At Keiller Leadership Academy (KLA), we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of all students, families, and staff. This notice provides information about the resources available on campus and in the community, in accordance with California Education Code § 49428.
I. On-Campus Mental Health Services
School Counselor
- Available for social-emotional support, conflict resolution, and check-ins
- Students may request a meeting through a teacher or by visiting the main office
- Parents may request counseling support by contacting the front office
School Psychologist
- Provides assessments, counseling, and mental health consultations
- Supports students with IEPs and those needing additional services
Wellness Check-Ins
- Staff conduct periodic wellness surveys and offer check-in opportunities
- Crisis response plans are in place for students in distress
II. Referrals and Outside Services
If a student needs ongoing or intensive support, school staff may assist with referrals to:

III. Support for Staff and Families
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Available for eligible staff
- Parent Resource Workshops – Hosted periodically throughout the year
- Referrals for family therapy or case management services upon request
IV. Crisis & Emergency Protocols
If a student is experiencing a mental health crisis at school:
- Staff will follow KLA’s safety and emergency protocols
- Parents/guardians will be contacted immediately
- Appropriate steps will be taken to ensure the student’s safety and care
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
V. Confidentiality
All mental health services provided through Keiller Leadership Academy comply with FERPA, HIPAA (where applicable), and other confidentiality requirements. Information is only shared with authorized personnel for the purpose of student safety and support.
